3,600-year-old mummy found in Egypt

A team of Spanish archaeologists dug a 3,600-year-old mummy in the ancient city of Luxor.

According to Egypt's Antique Minister Mohammed Ibrahim, the mummy was preserved in a wooden sarcophagus dating back to 1600 BC, during the reign of Pharaonic 17th Dynasty.

Ibrahim said, the ancient mummy appears to belong to an official.

The identity of the newly discovered mummy in Luxor will be subjected to study for verification.
