Chaparrastique: Volcano erupts in eastern El Salvador

Reuters reports that Chaparrastique volcano is Eastern El Salvador erupted on Sunday. The same was reported by El Salvador's environment office.

On Sunday, volcanic ashes were spewed by Chaparrastique into the air.

As of the latest information, there are no injuries, yet sustained by the residents near the volcano.

Chaparrastique volcano is located in San Miguel, a region known for coffee production.
