Twitter makes tweets more visual in a planned overhaul

As a precursor to its official revelation in the coming weeks, Twitter said it made an overhaul of its user display; It made messaging "more visual" - one of its moves to compete with photo sharing portals like Instagram.
Twitter's move will be favoring its photo and video sharing features - it will be more direct this time. Things can be seen directly in your Twitter account's timeline.

The basic mechanics of Twitter will be staying the same but the look and feel will be definitely different. Twitter feeds will be more direct and up front and more engaging.

Twitter's Michael Sippey said:

These rich tweets can bring your followers closer to what's happening, and make them feel like they are right there with you.
