Bus vs Bus collision in CamSur: 5 dead

Yet another bus accident, claimed at least 5 lives on Sunday morning at Camarines Sur, Libmanan town. It was a head-on collision between two passenger buses - Elavil and Antonina.

The drivers of the two buses died on the spot.


At the moment, there are about 45 passengers being treated in a hospital nearby.

The Manila bound Antonina bus reportedly lost control and swerved to the opposite lane, hitting Elavil bus, which was headed for Naga City. It happened at around 12:30 am.

According to Police Officer 2 Emmy Rose Organis, desk officer of the Libmanan police, the cause could be mechanical.

Just a little over two weeks ago, a bus bound for Mountain province fell into a ravine killing at least more than 10 passengers on board, including Philippine TV actor and comedian Arvin 'Tado' Jimenez.
