Good bye Flappy Bird? Creator says he's taking the game down

In a sudden turn of event, Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen said in a Tweet, he's going to take the game down, supposedly today.


Social media inquiries skyrocketed after the bizarre announcement, but what Nguyen could say is:

I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down. I cannot take this anymore.

The Flappy Bird maker said, the reason is not legal related.

It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore.

I also don’t sell ‘Flappy Bird’, please don’t ask.

And I still make games.

Albeit noticeable difficulty, the Android and Apple iOS game Flappy Bird has been a hit ever since its release. It's shut down is something to bring a big impact to the mobile gamers out there.

Nguyen is reportedly making $50,000 a day with his game.

For whatever the reasons are, the Flappy Bird author is still silent as we write this post.
