Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) sets world record: Largest Charity Walk

Beating the Guinness world record for the largest charity walk is the recently conducted event of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC), dedicated to the Super Typhoon 'Yolanda / Haiyan' victims on Saturday.


About 175,000 participated in the 1.9 kilometer walk this weekend at the Cultural Center of the Philippines up to near the Diamond Hotel in Manila.

The system of measuring the attendance of the said charity was through the number of wristbands worn by the participants dropped into a box stationed at the walk's finish line.

The walkathon was also simultaneously conducted in the 54 other provinces of the country.

The proceeds of this Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) walk for a cause will be given to the Typhoon Haiyan victims in the Philippines.
