Flappy Bird maker Dong Nguyen went silent after taking down his game from online apps stores, as per his announcement on Feb. 9 through a series of Tweets:

It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore.

I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore.
Although reports say, Dong Nguyen has been earning $50,000 daily from advertising revenue before the take down decision, there has been no vocal (official) reasons why the move was made.

There's been rumors that Dong Nguyen was not able to handle his 'overnight success', hence the game removal. As the Vietnamese game developer indicated:
