MV Weesam Express 7 ran aground near Lauis Ledge off Talisay Cebu

Fast craft MV Weesam Express 7 ran aground near Lauis Ledge off Talisay City in Cebu on Thursday evening, GMA Network report says. The vessel had 160 passengers on board when the incident happened.

As per information released by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) spokesman, MV Weesam Express 7 got stuck at around 6:40 PM. For the necessary rescue, the PCG already sent rubber boats to fetch the passengers affected.

Reportedly, the ship had a leak, somewhere along its trip. There were no injuries and fatalities stated in the news report.
