Tumblr finally adds @mentions feature

Tumblr finally adapted a more social network friendly feature @mentions, which will allow you to directly mention a Tumblr user.


Once you type "@", a drop down menu will appear to give you a list of names to choose who to mention or tag in your post's text. The mention will trigger a notification in the user's stream board and also in the activity page.

We did a test of the said new feature and we got the screenshot below. The @mentions is up and running.


This feature has long been requested by dedicated Tumblr users around the world. Now the platform got a step closer to Facebook and Twitter. (Source)
