List of the J.C. Penney stores that are closing

J. C. Penney Company, Inc. announced on January 15, it will be closing 33 stores as part of its turnaround efforts - to focus its resources on the company's "highest potential growth opportunities."

With the said branches closure, the company expects to gain an annual cost savings of about $65 million from this year.

The remaining products in the inventory of the affected stores will be sold in the next few months. The final closings are expected to be finished by early May.

JCPenney stores closing. As a consequence, this move of J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP) will mean the elimination of about 2,000 job positions.
