Online Application for NBI Clearance Now Available

The Department of Justice (DOJ) released an official statement via Twitter, stating the availability of an online application for NBI clearance, beginning Jan. 24 (Fri). It says:

This news came as a gigantic relief for the Filipinos that have long been suffering from the long queues at the NBI sites during application times.

If this new NBI clearance application system pushes through as planned and envisioned, the tedious process can be simplified, hence better service delivery on the part of DOJ.

The system upgrade will also hasten the paper works where an NBI clearance is required.

According to DOJ Secretary Leila M. de Lima:

New NBI Director Virgilio L. Mendez said:

This is just our third full week of operation under our watch but we expect significant progress in the coming weeks with the delivery of additional equipment and increase in personnel.

From Jan. 24, NBI Clearance applicants can apply online at www.doj.gov.ph/nbi or www.nbi.gov.ph

After the online process, the applicants may proceed to any of the 55 NBI sites nationwide to settle payments, biometric enrollment, and thereby release of the clearance.
