Tropical storm 'Agaton' death toll at 34

Initial statistics show, about 467 villages in 72 towns in 14 provinces in Mindanao were affected by 'Agaton'. The numbers translate to at least 97,153 families or 463,527 people.
According to the country's weather bureau PAGASA, 'Agaton' will be hitting east of Hinatuan on Saturday morning. It will be at the northeast of Davao City on Sunday.
Earlier, several areas in Mindanao were declared under Signal No.1 - Siargao Island, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Province, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Davao Oriental and Compostella Valley.
Meanwhile, PAGASA issued a ranifall warning this afternoon at around 4:00 PM, as listed below:
Light to moderate to occasionally heavy rains over portions of Dinagat Island, SiargaoIsland, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Agusan del Norte & Agusan del Sur
Light to moderate rains over Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Bukidnon, Compostela Valley, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, North Cotabato & nearby areasThere will be possible flooding in the low-lying areas.
Shipping activities, as well as passenger flights were cancelled in 'Agaton' affected areas.
