6 Major companies in Japan join as key partners in TOMODACHI Initiative

At least six top global companies joined as key partners in TOMODACHI Initiative, a public-private partnership program initiated by the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo and the U.S.-Japan Council.
TOMODACHI Initiative
The corporate contributors in the TOMODACHI Initiative will help in carrying out the important activities and or programs intended to pursue the movement. The programs will open opportunities for young Japanese and Americans to participate in educational and cultural exchange, as well as leadership trainings.

All in the intention to equip Japan and American youths with the skills to contribute to strengthening the U.S. and Japan future partnerships.

The six major companies identified as key partners in TOMODACHI Initiative are:
  1. Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
  2. Metlife Alico Life Insurance K.K.
  3. Prudential Financial, Inc.
  4. Sumitomo Corporation
  5. Suntory Holdings Limited
  6. Toshiba Corporation
The TOMODACHI Initiative is a multi-year recovery program for the Great East Japan Earthquake.
