Labangan Zamboanga Mayor Ukol Talumpa shot dead at NAIA 3

Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur Ukol Talumpa was shot dead at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Friday, Dec. 20. The killers on motorcycle killed Talumpa, his wife and two other people.
This assassination attempt is actually the third for Talumpa; He evaded death in the first two but failed in the third one.

Mayor Ukol Talumpa has been receiving death threats ever since he won as vice mayor of Labangan.

Talumpa became mayor of Labangan ni 2013, defeating rival then mayor Kitty Nandang.

The Labangan mayor was known for his serious campaign against drug abuse in his town. His family run at least two (2) recruitment / placement agencies - Raysa Recruitment Agency in Manila and Rajaam Recruitment and Placement Agency.
