Mother stabbed children to death while performing 'exorcism'

Two kids died of stabbing by their own mother, who thought she was performing an exorcism.

Zakieya Latrice Avery, a resident of Germantown, Maryland was charged with two counts of murder for killing her 1 and 2-year-old children on Friday morning. The poor little kids were found with multiple stab wounds.

Two of the kids' siblings (5 and 8 y.o.) were also hurt in the said incident. They were taken to a nearby hospital.

For the above criminal offenses, the 28-year-old mother-of-four Avery has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

Neighbors could not believe what had happened. One of them said:

I have a child myself, and I can't imagine what person could do that to their children.

Police came to the scene after a call was made to report a car with its door left open, while a knife was lying on the ground.
