ONE FC: Moment of Truth Results - Koji Oishi retains belt by knocking out Honorio Banario

So "KOJI OISHI KNOCKS OUT HONORIO BANARIO TO RETAIN
ONE FC FEATHERWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP" - it happened on Dec. 6, at the Mall of Asia Arena during the well expected ONE FC Moment of Truth event. The screaming hyper excited crowd was all seemingly surprised by what turned up in the ONE FC ring that night.
Koji Oishi, as usual, came with an excellent timing in delivering his counter punches every time Honorio Banario launches an attack. At first, the Filipino warrior was doing great with his 1-2 combos ending with kicks but he came up short with lots of careful anticipations of what Oishi might do to him in any rumble to come up.

In short, Banario kind of tucked in too many reserves in his arsenals, including his aggressiveness - the spirit that he showed in his first encounter with Koji.

Kosji Oishi sticked to his fighting style, perhaps that was his plan, but if you watched the fight live, you would see his kind of timing and angles where his counter punching right hand is.

Congratulations Oishi for retaining the Featherweight World Champion's belt! You proved to the world that your first knock out of Banario was not because of a "Lucky Punch".

Honorio Banario still deserves an applause, knowing how he trained hard for this second meeting with Oishi. But then again, as other spectators have pointed out, he committed the same mistake again.

For us, having been able to watch the main event in the MOA Arena, Banario was kind of puzzled on how he would approach Oishi with his boxing weaponry. Oishi's counter punches were landing the way they should be, from the same origin, angle and kind of engagement.
