Smith & Wesson creates a monster revolver 'Backpack Cannon' (Photos / Video)

Meanwhile in the gun department, Smith & Wesson unveiled its newest revolver monster dubbed as the 'Backpack Cannon'. It's a newly designed pistol for the outdoor sports lovers out there.


The Smith & Wesson 'Backpack Cannon' could be your best back-up gun or perhaps, ultimate kit for your hunting itineraries.


Smith & Wesson 'Backpack Cannon' packs a huge .460 calibre bullet, shock handle and high visibility (high-vis) sight.  If handguns are the second choice to rifles and other long firearms, the 'Backpack Cannon' is on the top of the list if you are up for one big power coming from a tiny machine.


The 'Backpack Cannon' was revealed by Smith & Wesson on Monday during conduct of the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade show in the US, which is attended by about 60,000 gun fans every year.


The features of the Smith & Wesson 'Backpack Cannon' are as follow:

• three-inch barrel
• high visibility sights, and
• synthetic shock absorber 
• massive chamber to fit the gigantic .460 calibre rounds

According to Paul Pluff, a Smith & Wesson employee:

It's a very comfortable gun to shoot. It's great for a back-up gun in the back-country, or even for hunting if you’re going after some pigs or hogs or anything like that.
