UN peackeepers killed by bomb explosion in Mali

Meanwhile in Mali, the UN reports that several of its peacekeepers died due to a bomb explosion, spokesman told media on Saturday.
The incident happened on Saturday morning.

Fred Fath, the mission spokesman said:

There was an explosion this morning and the info I have is that there were several dead and wounded among the blue helmets

The bomb was made up of explosives packed inside a car, which was parked in front of a bank near one of the peacerkeepers' security areas.

According to Abdallah Ag Ibrahim, a witness from Kidal, there were at least four people who were probably dead or injured.

Up until now, the northern city of Kidal remains the center of conflict in Mali.
