Florida Bus falls into ravine in Mt. Province, 14 dead (Updated)

Update: In our previous post, we shared some of the names of the fatalities, as per sources, with the approximate count as 14. Fresh news a few moments ago broke that the driver of the ill-fated Florida bus has died, while the conductor has been declared "out of danger" as of Sunday morning.

Just this morning, at 7:20 a.m., a bus carrying around 40 passengers fell into a ravine in Mt. Province. At least, nine (9) were reportedly killed.


The ravine (Bangin) where the bus plunged is 500-meter in depth and is located somewhere in Bontoc.

The said bus departed from Sampaloc, Manila terminal.

The names of the passengers, as well as the identities of the fatalities are still being investigated by the concerned authorities.

According to a local radio report (Bombo Radyo), the vehicle was identified as Florida Bus with plate number TXT-872. The accident happened at Sitio Pagang in Barangay Talubin. (Source)
